BLAM

BLAM – Aural Proficiency As Only The French Can
Yes, the company is called BLAM. No, it’s not satire lost in translation. BLAM is acronymic for Bonneville Laboratory And More, after it’s founder and president Guy Bonneville.

Bedrock Solid Foundations
Conceived in France during late 2013 upon the bedrock foundations of experience and passion; BLAM was created for the purpose of allowing Guy and his team of astute engineers to freely express their exceptional expertise and know-how. This was conducive to the company quickly realising Guy’s vision of creating a unique sound he defines colloquially as The French Sound. The phrase The French Sound is not some flippant throwaway line. Audiophiles have come to appreciate the term defines a delicate combination of perspective, technological design and distinct sensory stimulation and sensation. Indeed, the very concept of high-fidelity sound arguably stems from the French cultural upheaval experienced during the late sixties.

The sound signature of early acoustic loudspeakers was influenced significantly by the cultural idiosyncrasies of the founding country. With the French valuing the overall tonality, smoothness and realism of vocals above all else. Especially insofar as the emotions they generated. Though today’s generation can be guilty of listening to music a little differently BLAM remains faithful to its roots, delivering on its promise of a warm and natural sound. Guided consistently by passion, hence the motto Driven By Passion; Guy and his team of engineers design, develop and manufacture an impressive stable of quality audio products covering a multitude of functions and fiscal points.

More Than Just A Factory
Now well established in Le Chambon-Feugerolles in France, BLAM has access to impressive industrial facilities including an expanded research department. This enables the BLAM development team to undertake its laboratory design and auditorium testing and measurement work in very close proximity to its workshop, the latter housing highly qualified and competent operators who are responsible for meticulously assembling various BLAM components.
