Kenwood – The Stuff Of Audio Legend
You’d be hard pushed to find an audio enthusiast on planet earth who’d not heard of Kenwood. Nowadays ubiquitous; the company was established in 1946 as the Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd. in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The company underwent a few different name changes over the ensuing years before finally landing upon Kenwood. The name Kenwood was invented by Kasuga as being the combination of Ken; a name common to Japan and North America that had been tested and proven acceptable to American consumers in the name of Kenmore appliances, and Wood; referring to the durable substance. Fast forward to 2008 and the company merged with JVC to form new a holding company named JVCKenwood.

History aside let’s talk about it’s products. For hitherto Kenwood has designed, developed and produced more electronic technology than most companies could even dream of. Moving from strength to strength, nowadays Kenwood showcased a stellar range that includes everything from receivers and amplifiers through to speakers and subwoofers.
