From humble beginnings during in the seventies, Optima has grown into a world leader in power cell development and design. Originally known in the early days simply for it’s robust batteries, Optima is credited as creating the world’s first maintenance-free lead acid cell. From here it expanded its horizons into gel-cell technology, including its world famous spiral-cell designs; thenceforth into DIN sized batteries. Though still producing these bulletproof fundamental designs, Optima is again expanding it’s repertoire to include future technologies.
