Designed to be the ultimate in versatile component speakers, the 4000 series combine sturdy construction with a smooth and linear overall aural reproduction; yet with a most modest price tag. These components utilise advanced materials plucked from ranges above, whilst employing clever design ideologies that canvass even the smallest of details. Design Ideologies
The superb 4000 series from Italian audio maestro ESB represent the absolute in value for money. Designed to produce gold whilst not costing it, the 4000 stable includes multiple speaker sizes and layouts, with both components and coaxials represented. Design Features
Though the 4000 series might not be the flagship components of the ESB stable, they still feature some impressive design and material technologies. Many of which are plucked from ranges higher up. The Force Within
The drivers feature ultra-low carbon alloy steel pole pieces that’re CNC machined using magnet analysis software (FEM). They’re cold forged in one piece, this creates a perfect geometry and produces an extra magnet force concentration just in front of the voice coil, focusing the magnetic force where needed.

Attractive Magnet
The motor features a high-grade neodymium magnet. Not all magnets of equal size are equal in strength. This higher grade N-52 high-energy magnet provides a high resistance to demagnetization and is over 25 % stronger for the same mass than more common lower grade N-48 magnets.

Framing It All
The frame is a die cast aluminum alloy basket. This design structure offers great rigidity and minimal resistance to airflow movement without altering sound quality. The casting of this aluminum basket follows strict procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory specifications and help maintain consistent casting quality.

Poles Apart
On the back is a CNC machined ultra-low carbon alloy steel pole plate. This type of manufacturing process ensures perfect flatness so it sits perfectly flush over the magnet without reducing any crucial magnetic flux.

The Coil Within
The large aluminum copper-clad vented voice coil can handle very high power while reproducing music with extreme realism and high dynamics. The copper clad aluminum wire voice coil is very lightweight and with excellent heat dissipation capacity.

Pushing The Air
Top side resides a long-fiber, unbleached pulp cone with a special external treatment. This material a perfect combination of lightness, rigidity and internal damping.

Suspended Animation
The surround suspension is made of soft nitrile rubber with is UV-resistant and unaffected by temperature change so that the superior acoustic qualities of this speaker are preserved long-term. Special edge design ensures perfect and free forward and backward movement.
