It's superb MicroSub systems feature an efficient slot-ported design and thin-wall construction with extensive internal bracing to deliver astonishing bass performance in the tightest of spaces. Strong Yet Lightweight
Extensive interior bracing permits the use of thinner wall material that maximizes the enclosure’s internal volume relative to its exterior volume.

V-Groove Construction
This advanced cabinet building technique uses CNC machining to create precise panel joints that make enclosure assembly more efficient and exact.

Slot Port For Serious Air Flow
The port wraps around two walls of the enclosure to produce the necessary low tuning frequency that ensures excellent extension and response smoothness. The flared port entry and exit further enhance sound quality by minimizing air-flow noises through the port.

Ready To Rock And Roll
All MicroSub enclosures are all shipped wired, loaded and ready to connect via a simple yet clean push-button terminal.

Clean Lines And Superb Protection
All MicroSub enclosures are finished with a black, high-grade automotive carpet with JL AUDIO embroidery on the front side. The driver is protected via a sturdy black-steel mesh grille.

Design Features
JL Audio’s engineering department is at the forefront of research into fundamental loudspeaker behaviour. It has developed proprietary analysis systems and invested heavily in state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing. This has borne numerous products widely considered as reference standards and has also resulted in many U.S. and International Patents issued for technologies that refine and extend the audio performance envelope. Many of these have found their way into the MicroSub enclosures and the subwoofer drivers housed within.

Dynamic Motor Analysis Optimized Motor
JL Audio’s proprietary dynamic motor analysis system is a powerful suite of FEA-based modeling systems, first developed by JL Audio in 1997 and refined over the years to scientifically address the issue of speaker motor linearity. This leads to vastly reduced distortion and faithfully reproduced transients. Put simply; this equates to tight, clean, articulate bass.

Advanced Cooling System
The subwoofers within the MicroSub enclosures feature elevated frame cooling. This system delivers cool air through slots directly above the top-plate to the voice coil of the speaker. This not only enhances power handling, but also sound quality by minimizing dynamic parameter shifts and power compression.
