Kicker was conceived in 1973 as a two man operation, hand-building professional speaker systems in a single car garage. With few resources but an intense love for music, company founder and current president Steve Irby invented the the original Kicker subwoofer enclosure, making the good folk of Stillwater, Oklahoma his first fan base. Point Source Design
The 25 mm Teteron® dome tweeter utilizes a point source design, in that the tweeter can be placed in the center of the voice coil along with a custom pole and waveguide. The result is near perfect phase alignment and outstanding sonic clarity.
