Integration Series – Clandestine Speaker Upgrades
Whether your car comes equipped with an entry level system or the flagship name-brand stereo; most would agree it could do with better speakers. To that end the market is saturated with OEM upgrade options, however some are vastly better than others. Often called the big easy of Morel stable; the focus of the Integration range is to slot into the OEM locations and under factory panels with as little interference and ado as possible. Designed with polypropylene diaphragms, exact DIN sized frames and easily adaptable wiring; the Integration range of speakers are available in either component set or coaxial configuration, front, centre, rear or subwoofer. Thus making them the best option when upgrading your factory sound system.

Design Ideologies
As part of the Reference level, the IR-MBZ4INT point source system for Mercedes-Benz takes sound performance to new levels. Music lovers will be consumed by the level of tonal purity, detail, and ease of listening. Featuring DirectFit, the unique 4-inch (100mm) chassis design with supplied mounting brackets and factory wire connections allow the IR-MBZ4INT to fit modern Mercedes-Benz models without the need for modification.

The IR-MBZ4INT is based on Morel’s highly regarded Hybrid Integra speaker series. Each 4-inch point source uses a 2.1” (51mm) voice coil and powerful hybrid EVC motor design, offering exceptional power handling and unmatched cone control. The concentrically mounted hi-res tweeter uses Morel’s proprietary 1.1” (28mm) Acuflex silk dome and dual neodymium magnet motor. This culminates into a plug-and-play speaker system that simply has no equal.

EVC™ Motor
Morel speakers with EVC™ technology utilize voice coils that are up to three times larger than those used in conventional loudspeakers, enabling improved heat dissipation, power handling and linearity. The EVC™ design moves the magnetic motor system to within the voice coil, eliminating stray magnetic flux by effectively directing all the magnetic energy to the voice coil. The EVC™ architecture is over 90% more efficient than conventional design, magnetically shielded, and highly compact.

Paper Cone
In use since the first loudspeakers, the paper continues to be an exceptional material of choice. Morel’s latest paper composite cones are ultra-lightweight, making them an exceptional pairing for drivers using smaller motors and voice coils.

Hybrid Magnet Motor
The Hybrid motor drive system uses a ferrite magnet together with a very powerful neodymium magnet. Combined they create a compact, lightweight motor system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional designs of the same size. With Hybrid, more amplified power is converted into sonic energy for flawless performance, even in a small driver.

Handcrafted Acuflex Soft Dome
A specially engineered damping compound hand-applied to the soft domes, adding rigidity and damping, which greatly improves the clarity and bandwidth of the tweeter/mid-range. The Acuflex™ diaphragm exhibits controlled cancelling break up (accurate–flexing), meaning each break-up mode is counteracted by another in the opposite direction, enabling smooth frequency response.

Integra
Derived from the word “integrate”, Integra is a speaker consisting of both a woofer and tweeter that share a common chassis. Unlike a coaxial, its recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone. This minimizes phase error and allows the sound field to be constant in all directions, creating a near-perfect time alignment.
