Design Ideologies
When installing a quality system in your vehicle don’t ruin it with cheap cables and ancillaries. You need to get power to the amplifiers, ergo you spend plenty of large gauge high quality power cables. But what about signal flow, both into your amplifiers and sometimes out of it, depending on your system configuration. Any old RCA interconnects will do right? Wrong actually, very wrong.
Perfecting The Art Of Interconnection
Modern audio amplifiers have evolved considerably, both in terms of what they’re about to output and what they’re able to detect and therefore replicate. Put succinctly; they require high quality signals that are clean and free from electrical interference and artefacts. These cables need to be robust, durable and most capable. Aspects like strand count, construction material, skin effect etc. all play a part in how electrons are flowed. This is why we recommend high quality ancillaries, as your system will only perform as well as it’s weakest link.
Attention To Details
Audio Reference Technology cables are unique in the attention paid to insulating materials. Its engineers understand that the insulating material must not disturb the signal, and at the same time it must allow the conductor to retain its inherent characteristic even over very long runs. Hence the insulator improves the characteristic of the conductors by allowing the orderly movement of electrons unaffected by external influences.
Exquisite Materials Making A Difference
Through many years of hard work and research, Audio Reference Technology’s astute engineering team have developed a brand new rare metal alloy conductor and specialised insulating shielding material that it uses throughout its product lines. These cables’ core geometry conductor is composed of pure homogenised crystal copper (HCC); a specially developed compound metal able to provide greater clarity of sound than other general copper materials. All of the components are hand-made including the shielding and insulators, which use up to seventeen layers in total. To stabilise the quality of Audio Reference Technology products, the highly time consuming manufacturing process relies on its senior expertise to arrange materials layer by layer; with the materials arranged in a specific sequence.
The Q-Damper Technology
Audio Reference Technology’s patented Q-Damper technology is a magnetisation ring made of CNC machined aluminum alloy. Not just any old alloy either, rather its the high grade 6000 series alloy used in aerospace technology. This technology is specially positioned throughout the full length of the cable. The plugs on Audio Reference Technology’s cables have anti-electromagnetic plating, a special cleaning filter and additional tri-guard protection on the connecting points. Together these provide more clarity to the music, thus allowing you to obtain the maximum result from your system. Audio Reference Technology cables also enjoy a reduction of vibration and electromagnetic interference, conducive to a far improved signal vs noise quotient. This all equates to a more neutral and natural sound, whilst increasing the dynamics of the soundstage within your system.
Design Features
The vast heritage of this astute and masterful Italian designer, together with its ever-increasing technical acumen; is conducive to these components featuring a vast array of impressive design ideologies and latest technological advancements. We canvass a selection of these below.
The A.R.T. Methodology
All high fidelity systems share certain fundamental elements; source, amplification, and speakers all connected together. These components are all affected by everything from physical vibrations through to electromagnetic interference. These forces act on every component and connection, influencing sound quality in similar ways across different systems. In theory, if components could be fully isolated from these disturbances and signal loss eliminated, the resulting sonic improvements would also be consistent; leaving only the inherent character of each component.
Developing The Key Treatments
To approach this ideal four key treatments are essential. Controlling vibration to prevent internal and external interference, isolating power to reduce noise from the electrical supply, improving interfaces where components connect to minimise signal loss and ensuring clean signal delivery through well-designed cables. When these factors are properly addressed, the system can operate with minimal distortion or degradation; thus preserving the integrity of the original signal.
Superb Results, Audible To Humans
The result is a clearer and more natural listening experience. With richer detail, tighter bass, greater sense of space and an overall relaxed and effortless sound. As interference is reduced, the system reveals more of its true performance and your listening becomes more immersive. Ultimately, because listeners themselves respond to these subtleties; improving signal purity not only enhances the equipment’s output but also deepens the emotional and perceptual experience of your music.
