Prima Series – Clandestine Component Upgrades
Whether your car comes equipped with an entry level system or the flagship name-brand stereo; most would agree it could do with better equipment. To that end the market is saturated with OEM upgrade options, however some are vastly better than others. The focus of the Audison Prima range is to fit into the OEM locations and under factory panels with as little interference and ado as possible. Designed with light yet stuff diaphragms, exact DIN sized frames, powerful amplifiers and even processing; the Prima range can provide the goods ti deal with any aural requirements you may have.

Design Ideologies
With their ultra-high efficiency subwoofers, the Prima active subwoofer enclosures feature a dedicated high-performance amplification module that enhances all the passive box technologies.

Two Plus Two Design
This includes the 2S², aka 2 sides / 2 sounds design; the plug and play terminal block and its overall ultra-compact size. The amplification module, with its high continuous power output, is developed with high efficiency / low impedance ideologies, which allows it to reach an efficiency of 90% thanks to the absence of the DC-DC voltage booster. An efficiency very close to the theoretical limit of D class amplification D-Class

New Technologies. New Components
These enclosures feature a new input stage which incorporates dynamic bass tracking (DBT) technology allows. This allows the amplifier to output a tense and dynamic bass signal even at very high listening volumes, a signal which is thence reproduced by the subwoofer. Eliminating the voltage booster was made possible thanks to the development of the new dual coil drivers, which inherit all the technological background of the Prima subwoofers but differ with their ultra-low impedance.

This feature ensures a perfect synergy with the high-efficiency low impedance technology, maximising the combination of amplifier, speakers and sealed box. The result is low, powerful and very crisp frequencies.

Controlling The Noise
The controls section is intelligently designed and allows you to create the optimal blend of low frequency emissions within your vehicle cabin. The Butterworth low pass filter is set at 12dB, and the variable cut-off frequency of 50 Hz -200 Hz can be bypassed when used with an audio processor featuring a pre-out output dedicated to the sub. The adjustable bass-boost control between 0 dB and 6 dB is centred upon 45 Hz and allows you to emphasise the response on the lower side of the subsonic spectrum.

Getting The Signal On Board
The high-level input on the multi-pole connector eases the integration with OEM audio systems while the low-level input on RCA is dedicated to the connection with aftermarket sources. The automatic turn on / off function can be configured to be controlled by the source remote signal, by the voltage variation on the high-level input or by the audio signal on both inputs. Phase control of 0° or 180° completes the equipment. The sub smart plug (SSP) terminal block is provided with a single plug and play connector to be able to disconnect the box easily and safely.
