Design Ideologies
Step up your car audio game with the Relax series from BLAM, featuring a swag of high-performance components built for those who want both power and precision. Featuring woofers, midranges, tweeters and coaxials; the Relax range create a wider, more accurate sound stage than traditional speakers can. With high power handling and high sensitivity, not to mention a broad frequency response; the Relax range delivers dynamic, detailed sound that stays clean and controlled at any volume.
Engineered Differently
Engineered for reliability and acoustic excellence; the Relax woofers are built around a fiberglass-reinforced composite basket and a treated cellulose pulp cone for natural, balanced midrange reproduction. The butyl surround and long-life Conex spider ensure consistent performance over time, while the thermally efficient voice coil wound upon a Kapton former enhances heat resistance during extended listening sessions. A powerful magnetic motor system drives tight responsive bass, while the N38 neodymium tweeters provide smooth and refined highs with impressive clarity and minimal distortion.
Frequency Flexibility
The various included crossovers components and networks give you control over your sound, with a filters and adjustable tweeter levels to fine-tune the balance to your liking. Designed as truly affordable yet high performing components; the Relax range create a most immersive and lifelike listening experience. Complete with mounting accessories for easy installation, the various Relax kits are the perfect upgrade for anyone looking to transform their car audio into a powerful high-fidelity system.

Versions And Variants
You might have noticed that there are many different sets within the Super Relax range, often differentiated by a single letter. Ergo let’s run through what they are:
– KIT SR165S – this has the full depth 6.5″ / 165 mm midrange, with smaller 0.8″ / 20 mm T1020 tweeter.
– KIT SR165X – this has the full depth 6.5″ / 165 mm midrange, with larger 1″ / 25 mm T1025 tweeter.
– KIT SR165F – this has the shallow depth 6.5″ / 165 mm midrange, with smaller 0.8″ / 20 mm T1020 tweeter.
– KIT SR165C – this is the 6.5″ / 165 mm coaxial version.
– MEDIUM R80 – this is the 3″ / 80 mm midrange set that you use to convert the two-way set into a three-way set.
If you’re installing these speakers into OEM locations is usually better to run with the smaller tweeter. Whereas you employ the larger tweeter when making custom pillars, triangles and pods etc.
