Design Idologies
Brax subwoofers are unconditionally designed for maximum dynamics and exceptional tonality. All components were designed in such a way that they can transform enormous amounts of amplifier power into sound pressure without any compression effects. The MicroSphere diaphragm coating is a unique and made for a perfect sound experience. It’s constructed from from ceramic micro-hollow spheres embedded in a polymer layer, which are applied to the cone. This gives the hand-scooped cone a particularly high level of rigidity and excellent internal damping.
Setting The Benchmark
The legendary Brax Matrix loudspeaker series, many years a synonym for state-of-the-art sound quality; is now complete with the Matrix subwoofers. Developed and manufactured just as uncompromisingly as all Brax loudspeakers, these subwoofers are the acoustic benchmark against which all others are measured.
Perfection Meets Maximum Flexibility
Thanks to the use of the new dual voice coils, the Matrix subwoofers enable multiple connection configurations therefore allowing you to achieve an extremely clean and maximally controlled bass reproduction. The separate two Ohm voice coils possess four massive connection terminals, These in turn allow three different configurations; single 1 Ohm, single 4 Ohms or dual 2 Ohms. These voice could possess an extraordinary maximum power handling of 1200 Watts.
MicroSphere – The Perfect Synthesis Of Weight And Stiffness
One of the secrets of the Matrix subwoofers is its unique diaphragm, more precisely in its MicroSphere coating. It gives the hand-scooped cone the highest level of acoustic precision for an incomparable reproduction. This patented technology embeds ceramic hollow spheres with a diameter of solely 75 µm in a polyamide layer that is applied to the cone.
That special coating not only improves the stiffness, but the cones inner damping as well. However, these stabilizing measures do not increase the moving mass. Compared to other Car Hifi subwoofers the cone is even lighter, which not only leads to a lower total Q factor but also further improves the impulse response.
Engineering Prowess In Harmony With Timeless Elegance
Each Brax product impresses with a puristic design and perfect workmanship in every detail and of course the Matrix subwoofers are no exception. Their extremely linear magnet drive with precisely machined pole plates for lowest level of distortion, the large multi-ventilated voice coil for maximum electrical power handling and the aerodynamically shaped and stable die-cast basket warrant for uncompromising bass reproduction at the very highest level.
These subwoofers come in a beautifully finished wooden case with their own serial number, which is recorded in the Brax service database.
