Design Ideologies
When installing a quality system in your vehicle don’t ruin it with cheap cables and ancillaries. You need to get power to the amplifiers, ergo you spend plenty of large gauge high quality power cables. But what about signal flow, both into your amplifiers and sometimes out of it, depending on your system configuration. Any old RCA interconnects and speaker cables will do right? Wrong actually, very wrong.
Uncompromising Electron Flow
Modern audio amplifiers have evolved considerably, both in terms of what they’re about to output and what they’re able to detect and therefore replicate. Put succinctly; they require high quality signals that are clean and free from electrical interference and artefacts. These cables need to be robust, durable and most capable. Aspects like strand count, construction material, skin effect etc. all play a part in how electrons are flowed. This is why we recommend high quality ancillaries, as your system will only perform as well as it’s weakest link.
Premium Construction And Shielding
When it comes to Confuse Audio’s Flux range of interconnects it’s all in the materials used and how they’re machined. Confuse Audio’s RCA terminal blocks feature a shell structure made of high-strength copper which is then gold-plated for supreme conductivity. This material is impurity free and enjoys an extremely low electrical resistance. To ensure zero signal interference, Confuse Audio utilises premium Teflon as the insulation material, providing a stable dielectric constant and exceptional thermal resistance. This results in superb transmission characteristics; detailed open treble, tight deep bass, overall well-balanced sound, excellent clarity and the cleanest transmission ability.
The Interconnect
The cable employed with the Flux series is engineered using advanced heated-mold continuous casting technology to produce single-crystal copper of extraordinary quality. The resulting Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) pure copper achieves a staggering purity level of over 99.99999 % (7N), virtually eliminating grain boundaries that hinder signal flow.
What Is Ohno
Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) is a specialised method of manufacturing high-purity copper or other conductive metal wire, developed by Japanese metallurgist Atsumi Ohno. Unlike conventional copper production which involves repeatedly casting, rolling and drawing the metal; the OCC method produces the conductor through a continuous casting process that allows the copper to solidify in a controlled manner. This greatly reduces the number of crystal boundaries within the finished conductor.
Unparalleled Sound Signature
Due to its unique unidirectional and impurity-free crystalline structure, the Flux interconnects offer ultra-low electrical resistance. The result is a sonic performance characterised by transparent open trebles, tight and impactful bass and an overall well-balanced sound stage. It delivers rapid signal transmission and excellent clarity; uncovering every subtle detail in your music.
