Design Ideologies
The 2000 Duemila series includes advanced technologies that allow you to listen to true and high-quality sound in the car. All knowledge and experience of ESB research and development team has been transferred to these special components to achieve maximum sound performance, bandwidth, dynamic response and more faithful reproduction of sound details.
The 2000 series excels in great sound, high performance and easy installation. The basket of the mid-bass speaker made of ABS plastic has high mechanical resistance and much higher than traditional metal baskets. The pressed paper membrane ensures the best balance between performance, durability and stability with a high internal damping factor, allowing for low distortion. The height speaker duct is made of silk fabric impregnated with phenol resins. The special magnetic oil absorbs any unwanted vibrations while improving the heat exchange between the coil and the metal body, ensuring excellent power to the speaker. The speakers are focused, among other things, on easy installation, so you can find the switch integrated on the cable. For maximum use of speakers, we recommend plugging into the amplifier.
Design Features
Despite their modest asking price the 2000 series are still filled with cool technology. Let’s take a closer look at the components below.
Advanced Woofers
Membranes made of paper are the best combination of lightness, rigidity and membrane ability to dampen any unwanted vibrations. The specially profiled rubber surround ensures dual function of high cushioning and excellent transverse stability. This means that the membrane is forced only to vertical movement, eliminating transverse movements that could cause contact with the coil and magnet. The 25 mm vibration coil of the woofer utilizes an aluminum carrier and winding with two-layer technology of copper wire with an aluminum core. The glass fiber ABS basket has been designed to gain maximum torsional stiffness, but at the same time offered minimal resistance to air passage through the membrane from the rear front. The material used, in addition to not being so sensitive to thermal changes, is also non-resonant. In addition, the ABS frame allows for a better torque of the clamping force than the typical pressed steel frames and ensures that the vibration coil remains well centered in the magnetic field. The speakers are equipped with a Y-35-class ferrite magnet with significantly higher performance than classic standard ferrite magnets, which ensures easier power control applied to the speaker and also its excellent efficiency. The metal parts of the engine use low-carbon steel and have been designed to achieve maximum magnetic saturation. This guarantees the best electroacoustic parameters, because the eddy currents generated by the movement of the membrane are largely suppressed.
Tweeter Delights
The 2000 Series high-altitude speakers use a thin, cloth dome-shaped membrane impregnated with silk for a very fine and natural sound. The external suspension is made of the same material, but is additionally covered with a high-loss damping material to eliminate vibrations and resonances. The dome has an extremely low weight and is much less prone to mechanical deformation than other models. Yet it provides a smooth, linear and very extended response. The 28 mm oscillation coil has an aluminum support and a very light aluminum wire coated with copper. The coil has excellent ventilation with anti-resonant chambers and is dampened with a special oil based on liquid iron. The special ventilation design of the surround vented system (SVS) provides optimal cooling to handle high performance and avoids air compression at the back of the membrane with great distortion limitations. High-quality neodymium magnets such as N-42 are optimized with computer simulations to achieve better efficiency and improve linearity to ensure greater and better power management and increase bandwidth and efficiency.
