Design Ideologies
The world doesn’t need more amplifiers, ergo when Wāvtech entered the category it knew it had to produce something special. The first thing you notice about Wāvtech amplifiers is their small size, however small size isn’t the only thing these amplifiers are about. The engineers at Wāvtech have packed an incredible amount of features into every one.
Perfectly Suited To The Modern Vehicle
Wāvtech amplifiers are perfectly suited to systems with both aftermarket and factory source units. As with all Wāvtech products they utilise panel mount RCA ports, which are both the most reliable and best performing. Wāvtech has included start / stop compatibility, meaning they will continue to perform all the way down to 7 V. They also have on board active thermal management, meaning when the amplifier plays for long periods of time and gets hot, instead of shutting down until the temperature cools off like most amplifiers it will instead lower the output power so that your music never stops playing.
No Cutting Of Corners
As a way of saving cost, other manufactures have cut out some of the best features. Not Wāvtech though. All Wāvtech mono amplifiers feature the best in class bassFREQ processor, in addition to a 24 dB per octave low-pass crossover. This is important because you want as steep a slope as possible for the best subsonic performance. Wāvtech also includes a fully adjustable subsonic filter, also at 24 dB per octave. The coolest feature though, just might be the single band parametric EQ. This allows you to not only fine tune your subwoofer for the best possible performance, but in vehicles that have bass roll-off you can compensate for that as well.
It’s In The Heritage
Wāvtech hasn’t forgotten about it roots. It’s an OEM integration company first and foremost and these amplifiers take everything its engineers know about the category to the next level. Wāvtech was the first company to include built-in loading in all of its processors, but the engineers knew they could do better. Thus instead of using a static load like the ones in its LOC’s; Wāvtech upgraded it to an adaptive load, which makes it compatible with more vehicles.
All of the multichannel models have built-in summing, and the engineers knew they could improve on that as well. The summed output is now extremely flexible. It can be all full range, all high pass, all low pass or any combination you chose. Last but not least, like all Wāvtech LOC’s; its amplifiers accept up to 40 V of input.
