Unfathomable Dynamics
This award winning component set consists of two 6.5″ woofers with a K2 sandwich cone made of aramid fibre, a Focal innovation of renowned performance. Their high sensitivity allows them to produce an enveloping, powerful and dynamic sound. The central phase plug ensures better sound dispersion within the vehicle, to significantly enhance the in-car listening experience. The two TKME tweeters with the ‘M’ shaped inverted dome, also made of aramid fibre, are linked with bi-ampable audiophile crossovers. They ensure optimal control of the high frequencies, producing a smooth and perfectly defined treble. Hi-fi sound has arrived! For flexibility the tweeters can be mounted in one of three ways; in the factory location, flush-fitted or on angled brackets. The kit also includes aluminium grilles.

The K2 Sandwich Cone
The aramid fibre cone inherits much of Focal’s unique know-how. Composed of an ultralight foam core sandwiched between a thin layer of aramid fibre and a layer of fibreglass, it combines three critical factors when it comes to acoustics; rigidity, lightness and damping, for sound that is as precise and dynamic as it can get.

TMD® Surround
The speaker drivers benefit from TMD® (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, a patented innovation from Focal. This surround has a profile that’s specially designed to control and combat the effect of resonance and reduce the distortion associated with cone deformation. This is conducive to every K2 cone outputting sound that’s perfectly defined and ultra realistic.

TKME Tweeter Design
The ‘M’ profile TKME tweeter extends the frequency response to 22 kHz with an even greater reduction of distortion, for smooth and precise diffusion in the high treble. Coupled with a push-pull motor based on IAL2 technology, it achieves very low resonance frequencies for perfect harmonic balance.

Superb Linearity And Precision
The progressive spider on the K2 Power Evo speaker drivers is built around a progressive section to reproduce all the impact of the bass and increase the linearity, precision and dynamics of the sound.

Increased Pressure Levels
The Radial VC cooling system for the speaker driver coil expels hot air from the coil towards the bottom of the motor through multiple holes. This improves control over the coil temperature, limiting the effects of heat compression and improving reliability. This improves the dynamics of the speaker driver and generates a powerful sound.

Optimised Crossover Design
All the components used for the K2 Power Evo crossovers have been specially selected and optimised to better control the effects of heat dissipation. These components are essential for managing the various channels to present the sound stage reliably and efficiently.
