‘M’ Profile Beryllium Inverted Dome Tweeter
The only metal capable of scratching glass because of its extreme rigidity, Beryllium is the perfect material for a tweeter dome. Two years of research and development led to a world first with the creation of a pure Beryllium inverted dome capable of covering over five octaves. It is an exclusive Focal technology that’s unique worldwide. Focal engineers have now combined it with the innovative special profile inverted dome, enabling optimum dispersion and the use of a large 25mm voice coil for improved power handling.

TMD® Surround
Originally developed for the Sopra line of high-fidelity loudspeakers, Focal’s TMD® (Tuned Mass Damper) surround has a unique profile; designed to better control the effects of resonance and to drastically reduce the distortion associated with deformations of the cone.

Specially Profiled Sandwich Cone
Focal’s patented profile cone is the result of many years of research and its expertise in materials and their geometry. The innovative profiled cone, made from a single piece; is conducive to incredible rigidity. This element perfectly combines the three criteria essential for creating an ideal speaker, those being rigidity, lightness and damping. The result is an extremely linear frequency response, a low distortion rate and better sound dispersion.
