It’s time for new goodies folks; may we present the gorgeous Opus II amplifier from Italian audio extraordinaire Quartorigo. “Is that the amplifier that looks like a piano?” we’re hear you ask. It sure is friends!
When talking Italians and music you’re talking about a long and prestigious tradition which has its foundations firmly rooted within centuries of unique theatre settings, thus ratifying the bond between music and culture in a way few other societies can. This is where Quartorigo draws its inspiration from as it pursues a sound that is so realistic it’s mesmerising.

For now though, let’s chat about the elephant in the room; that extraordinary heat sink. For it’s nothing short of metallurgic artistry. Attention to detail means that appearance matters to Quartorigo too. Like a sculpture, the Opus amplifier casings are created from a single block of aluminium; meticulously carved for hours via an extremely complex CNC machining process. This isn’t merely an eye-catching gimmick, for these chassis are designed and engineered in-house to provide the very best thermal dissipation; thus allowing these units to produce performances which are hitherto unthinkable with other amplifiers.
